Planting sites 2005

2005 was the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar and the death of Admiral Nelson.

The Trafalgar Woods Project planted an incredible 250,000 trees in the UK and involved 15,000 children at the tree planting events.

By the end of the project, 33 new woods will have been planted to commemorate each of the ships in Nelson’s fleet and to celebrate the important role British timber played in our naval heritage.
