Dalwood parish council

Thanks to a grant of £50 from the Community Tree Planting Fund, Dalwood Parish Council was able to plant 4 English oak trees.

On the morning of 8 December 2005, a group led by Chairman of the parish council, Mr Harry Lawrence, had ideal planting conditions. By agreement of the landowner, Mr John Farendon, the trees were planted on the field side of the hedge to give them the best opportunity to establish themselves.

We hope they will add to the previous plantings along the main route into the village where the parish council has tried to develop an 'avenue' of trees over the last twenty years.
