Setting the tree-planting pace, Lord and Lady Carswell
The Tree For All campaign received a helping hand from Lord and Lady Carswell, members of the Ulster Society for the Protection of the Countryside. Lord and Lady Carswell set the tree-planting pace at a special ceremony at Dorothy’s Wood, near Lisburn. Lady Carswell commented: “It’s wonderful to be able to take hands-on action for our local environment. The simple act of tree planting represents positive action for our wildlife, landscape and for our future generations. Everyone can play a part; the planting of a native tree in your own garden, for example, is a really positive start.”
