Through the Eco-School programme, schools will be asked if they want to help create one of Scotland’s largest native broadleaved woods and help the “Return of the Forest”. Those interested will have to a web based resource promoting involvement in creating huge areas of new native woodland.
Schools participating in the programme will be sent a tree growing kit, which will include growing trays, compost, seed and instructions. The pupils will grow the trees and then they will have the option to come onto site and plant their trees after a season’s growth. For those schools who are unable to plant the trees on site will be able to send them back to site for planting
