Through the project we will increase opportunities for the local community to enjoy their woods by working in partnership with other organisations to:
- Develop a series of health walks in our woods which will be incorporated into the "Put Your West Foot Forward" programme
- Deliver guided walks in our woods with the West Lothian Ranger Service
- Devise team building activities in our woods for youth and adult education groups through working with the Community Planning team of West Lothian
It is our aim to raise awareness of opportunities for enjoying accessible woodland and urban green space in Livingston through many ways including producing navigational leaflets.
In March 2007 a group of Sky employees left the comfort of their offices and helped the Trust plant 200 trees at Kirkton Wood.
