The Woodland Trust and Tree Aid, are appealing to the corporate world to raise funds for a tree planting project which will help reverse poverty and environmental degradation in the African drylands while educating children in the UK about the vital role trees play in protecting our environment.
£100,000 is a modest sum for what we think we can achieve. Through Tree For All 30,000 trees will be planted both in the UK and in the drylands of Sahel in Africa. This will give children at 1,000 UK schools the chance to learn about trees here and all over the world.
In the UK, Tree For All is helping to inspire children to enjoy and value nature. In Africa it has the potential to save lives, stabilising the soil for growing food, providing raw materials for selling on and making clothes, tools and building materials.
