Victory Wood featured on BBC2

Woodland Trust Trafalgar flagship Victory Wood will be the centrepiece of the second episode of new eight-part BBC2 series, The Trees That Made Britain.

The programme is led by presenters Tony Kirkham and Jon Hammerton, who set off from the Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew, on a journey across the UK to find the great, oldest and most magical trees – and the story of the trees that made Britain.

The series’ first broadcast gets underway at 7.30pm on September 15. Victory Wood will be featured during the following week’s programme, due to be aired from 7.30pm on BBC2 on September 22. A book also titled The Trees That Made Britain, written by Archie Miles, will accompany the eight-week series. It is being published early in September to coincide with the documentary’s first broadcast.
