Get Involved

There are a number of ways Cadets can get involved with the Cadet150 project in 2009/10; come along to one of our organised events taking place throughout the country or register for a free tree pack for our Autumn 2010 delivery.

Edible Tree Packs

Each pack contains 30 trees (enough for a small copse or short length of hedge) to plant in your local area, whether it be where you meet or somewhere else in your local community that might benefit from some trees.

Guidance on planting and maintenance plus curriculum-linked activities are available to download from this website. There is more information here or order your pack here.

Community Tree Packs

Woodland Trust community tree planting packs are designed to help community groups to plant more trees, hedges and copses in their local shared spaces - by a church, community centre or playground for example, or on patches of land that are currently unused. Packs can be separated and planted in small copses to best fit the public areas in your neighbourhood.

Find out about the Woodland Trust's new community tree planting packs - what they are, who our partners are and how to apply for your pack.

Join in with a planting event

In 2010 the Woodland Trust would like to offer all Cadets the chance to plant trees as part of the Cadet150 celebrations. This forms part of our Tree For All campaign and in 2009/10, we aim to plant at least 12 major new areas of woodland with the help of Cadets, each composed of thousands of trees. More information on the sites and all other tree planting events are available here.
