Trafalgar Groves

Trafalgar GrovesTrafalgar Woods is a unique opportunity to mark the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar and Nelson’s great victory by supporting the children of today in planting the mighty oaks of tomorrow. You will be joining us in acknowledging the vital role timber played in maritime history and the importance of woodland today - celebrating the Value of Woodland - Past, Present and Future.

This is an exclusive opportunity to adopt a grove, named after one of the 33 British ships at the Battle, in the Victory Wood in Kent. The grove will be around one acre in size and contain approximately 750 new trees, to be planted between 2005-9.

In return you will receive the following benefits:

  • Inclusion in a Roll of Honour
  • A certificate and a map of the site
  • Optional acknowledgement on site, on the Trafalgar Woods website and in the Woodland Trust’s Annual Review
  • A personal tour of the new wood
  • Invitations to events celebrating the progress of the woodland creation
  • Sharing experiences with other Trafalgar Woods supporters
