Help plant 200 oak trees at Weymouth to commemorate Trafalgar
Weymouth and Portland Borough Council is asking people to help plant 200 english oak trees to commemorate the battle of Trafalgar. The initiative was suggested by local residents after a successful campaign last year to plant hundreds of trees on public land. The council is asking for help from local businesses, groups and individuals to fund the Trafalgar Trees 200. For more information visit www.weymouth.gov.uk or see their press release
SCOTLAND - Royal Navy Mark the Battle of Trafalgar at Taynuilt

Taynuilt - the first ever monument to Lord Nelson will be the setting for a ceremony to mark the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar on Saturday 11th June. The Royal Navy and the Forestry Commission Scotland will be commemorating Nelson's famous victory by planting two trees at the monument.
